McCormick County Courthouse

McCormick's historic, two-story Greek Revival style courthouse, located in the center of two, was designed by noted architect G. Lloyd Preacher of Augusta. McCormick County was formed in 1916 from territory from Edgefield, Abbeville, and Greenwood Counties, and plans were soon made to build a courthouse. The building was not actually completed until 1923, and it has been continuously used since that time as offices for the government of the smallest county in South Carolina.
